Important Health and Safety Information

Beamex is thrilled to bring back the Annual Calibration Exchange (ACE) as an in-person event.  In order to do so safely, and to comply with the health and safety procedures at the Space Center, please review the information below.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Beamex.

How can I help maintain health and safety?

Guests and staff are encouraged to stay home if they feel sick, have a temperature exceeding 100.4 F, or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Maintain physical spacing and follow the directions of signage.

Wash your hands frequently. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the center.

Individuals that have traveled internationally should not attend until they have completed a 14-day quarantine and practiced social distancing.

Are face masks required? Updated policy

Revised Mask Policy: The CDC has revised its mask recommendations in response to the rapid rise of Delta variant cases, urging that, “even fully vaccinated people wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.” All the local counties in the Greater Houston region were designated as high transmission areas. As a result, effective Monday, August 2, all guests (ages 2+), regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask anytime they are inside Space Center Houston facilities or on one of our tram tours. The only time guests can remove their masks while onsite is when outside (with the exception of while on a tram tour), or while eating and/drinking. Eating and drinking with masks off must happen when stationary and appropriately distanced from other people not in their party.

All guests, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask at all times when on any of our tram tours that take guests over to NASA Johnson Space Center per Johnson Space Center’s policy.

If there is a reason why you either cannot or will not wear a mask, we ask you to wait and visit at a later date when the pandemic situation has improved and mask policies have been relaxed.

Space Center Houston employees in public-facing areas are required to wear a mask for the safety of everyone.
